An easy way to get decent vitamins in without having to swallow a large pill (or several for that matter). Admittedly, I do tend to feel better when I remember to drink my vitamins than I do otherwise; however, a part of that is likely attributed to the placebo affect. Nevertheless, I do notice improved performance when taking the vitamins compared to without them (I alternated one month with them and one month without). I found that my ability to recover and the duration of extended activity (on fires, medical, or merely lifting) seemed much better.Of course, there's always the fact that the body will process out a large majority of vitamins and minerals it doesn't need, so there's intrinsically some loss of product through natural, bodily waste. The amount of vitamins and minerals per serving far exceeds the body's ability to process all of it at any given time, and, like many multi-vitamins out there, isn't necessary in such high doses. Nevertheless, what you do get out of it does seem to make a difference; and, again, it's very simple to take.I have the orange flavor and I like it well enough. The after taste is a bit bitter and chalky; but, not harshly so. You can easily blend the powder completely in a bottle of water or shaker. It does seem to "foam" quite a bit; but, the solution around that is simple: just add more water at the end of your drink.Overall, 4/5, with one star down due to the "foam", chalky after taste.
I’ve been mostly running since my early twenties, with a few stints here and there at the gym working out with weights. Recently, while helping a friend move, I realized I seriously need to amp up my upper body strength. The amount of soreness in my arms the day after the move was actually embarrassing. So anyway, I got a really good gym membership, and decided to start doing cross fit after a couple months “transitioning” into a fit person at the gym. I started working with a trainer, and I was just barely getting through my workouts, after talking to him though, he said I probably needed some multivitamins, as running should have made my endurance much better than it was. I found the Animal Pak on a fitness blog (did I really just write that?) and came to Amazon to sift through the reviews. I found most people’s responses to be helpful, and useful, but I still wasn’t convinced. I consulted my trainer, who begrudgingly told me that he also uses the Animal Pak. Sold. That guy is ripped. So I started taking them, and within a few days of taking them, I not only felt better while working out, I also felt better throughout the day, and generally had more energy and felt much healthier. I also started taking a dietary supplement, and though initially nervous, it proved to work really well in conjunction with the animal pak. The supplement, NootropX - 90 caps - Mental Focus and Concentration Supplement With Memory Enhancement For Extreme Clarity and Alertness - Instant Brain and Memory Power Boost From Patented AES® Absorption System - The Ultimate Brain Vitamins, really helps me amp up my focus and energy for the day, so I take them at the start of the day an hour before my workouts and they continue to help while I’m at work. The vitamin pak hasn’t been disrupted by these pills or vice versa, they’re both working exactly the way I want them to. At any rate, I definitely recommend the animal pak, it’s working really well for me.
Pros and ConsPROS:* Increase in mental focus* Supplement for the vitamins you miss in some foods (If you diet which you should)* Reduce the amount of soreness* Your muscles heal quicker after workouts* Can use as a pre-workout (I also drink black coffee instead of supplements *Old school bodybuilder tactics)CONS*They're big*Taste Nasty AF (But even Popeye eats his spinach right?)Overall I've had nothing but great results
