We had such a hard time finding a helmet that fit my 11 year old's wide head. All the other helmets we tried put too much pressure to his temples and he would literally be in tears by the time he came off the ice. This helmet was exactly what we had been searching for. Fits his head like a glove and no more pain! And it's super easy to adjust, no screws! Just pop open the little flaps on both sides of the helmet, adjust to head, and snap flaps back down. Can't get much easier!
Bought this for my son who is a freshman and played varsity hockey...yikes! He made it through the season with his marbles in tact and says it is a real comfortable helmet. The fit and finish was good and the price was cheaper than the local sports store.
You get what you pay for in helmets, and you can't & shouldn't skimp when it comes to head / safety. That said, this helmet wasn't the top of the line, but offered some "top of the line" features and protection...all while being comfortable, and priced $20 below ALL the competitors.
