For what it's worth, I'm 6' and 205, and the Large fit me quite well.These are very good pads. They aren't professional level, but then to expect them to be would be very unfair. These are, however, good pads for oldster pick-up games, and really they'd work for street as well as ice.I like that they breathe. I don't feel boxed in or claustrophobic with these pads on. The construction helps the rig flex a bit, so movement isn't overly restricted. You won't forget that you have pads on, but they aren't going to get in your way unless you're doing something crazy wild. Good torso/back protection, and really good shoulder (of course) and bicep guards as well. Again, these aren't going to stand up well to intense/aggressive styles of play, but for pickup games and such these are good pads. I like them a lot.
